Ants are always crawling around me. Wherever the location whenever, whatever.
Like even right now, they’re milling around me.

But there are some days I don’t notice them and the Preview day was one of them.

Much was going on and there were just too many new friends to chat with.

We met at 9am, Orchard Ion. Some were already sparkly and cheery, fed and ready to vroom. some needed our morning brew. Some felt the interior lights were too bright. haha.  But it was a great morning whatever our state.

We had our briefing from the fab team , did a quick stage run and did as many self-intros in between. I’m so thankful that everyone I spoke with was nice and friendly. No airs at all. Oh and one of the contestants, Bryon, has the best shoes in the world. Adidas by Jeremy Scott. Silver Wings High Cuts. which is now and forever out of stock in SG. So when I saw it i was like…AH.I’ll probably have to import it …@_@. Ok focus.

After all that we were shown to our hiding caves, where we could Mingle,do our Make-up and have our Meals.

 While waiting to go up on stage , Sarah’s dad took a picture of us. I thought that was really sweet.  Credits to Sarah for this pic. We all look so smiley here. Thats hot-mama Sandy in the middle and the gorgeous Sarah with amazingly toned arms. *swoons*

Rewinding the clock a little.

I realised that the day before the Female 50 Most GP Preview at Orchard Ion, 

A couple of bizarre but cool incidents occured.

While trying to walk out of Ion,  my bf and I met with some barricades and obstacles set up for Ion’s Grand Opening. So we tried to walk around it and walked into a strange zone for ‘fans’  which was rather traumatic.

We also got tagged with neon orange wrist bands.

Oh! And I actually met one of the fellow gorgeouson Audrey by chance!

 Or rather I met her back.

Haha. The perculiarity of it all still tickles me. And we found out the next day, that we were at the same place at the same time and I actually caught a pic of her back!

After that , the bf and I managed to escape the fan-trench. And proceeded for dinner where I bought a mini-hot pot soup . The lady put such a huge solid fuel in it that  i was literally carring a volcano on a tray that made *psst-pssst* noises as the soup spilled out and hit the fire. You should have seen the looks on people’s faces as they walked by/stared up at me. It was a director’s heaven. SHocked and horrified looks everywhere. hahah . its pretty funny now. But when I was steering that tray.

dude. I was seriously praying no random kid or long haired person would decide to pop infront of me.

After the drama. ..and upon sitting down,I received a text msg that solved a mystery that was bugging my mom and I for 2 weeks!

Annabel solves the Anna Sui Mystery.

But I’ll leave that for next time.

I’m seriously pretty intimidated by tomorrow!

But I thank God for amazing support from family Loved ones and friends!

It’s really all your little smses and messages on FB that has given me that quiet but dire confidence boost. Thank you

So while i have tons to blog about in regards to silly and not-so silly subjects I’ve encountered and thought through this week, I’m going to delay my entries because I am attempting a mile stone .

Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m going to attempt an anti-nocturnal endeavour tonight also-known as…sleeping early earlier.

My motivation force to wake up tomorrow… (though I’ll probably be in a state of a near-anxiety attack)… is

1) Making new friends with the 49 contestants (I aim to get to know at least 25)!

2) And i eagerly anticipate my friends and family who will be sharing their afternoon with me despite it being a Saturday and they could honestly do whatever they want to.

(I was going to list out all the possible things they could do, but that might be bad marketing strategy to convince them to come tomorrow. haha)

In the meantime, in this night time…

Life can be distinctly obscure and humorously beautiful. 

The process of finding and losing love has told a thousand times in every possible way imaginable.

But the unfolding of friendships, now that has been quite severely underrated.

Please don’t be mistaken. I’m not a cynical loveless life form. I’m all for great love stories, from HDB proposals to POST-IT LOVE

But its so gratifying to showcase how 2 lives can be intertwined in every way awkward and potentially stupefying, but God’s sense of humour in its true top class quality, can produce a striking friendship , when 2 gorgeous people were willing to swallow the ‘argh-urgh-huh-ahhh’  circumstances and just

live and let live, love and let love .

Seas and shores away from each other, we never knew of each other’s existence. Till later. We were always linked through this one common dude/chap/boy. Fortunate (or not )for him.

I reckon we both agree that’s debatable.  I mean we weren’t all that easy to manage that’s for sure.  

So a movie worthy plot of the ex-ex girlfriend and the ex girlfriend unfolded. Whose paths inevitably insisted on crossing ,I believe.

 Both managed tinges of excitement, dread and anticipation, but once the ice was broken it was simply pure animation.

With a bagful/ luggage-ful of stories to toss and match. Like a fantastic game of connecting the dots over drinks, munchies and peels of laughter ,we took turns to story tell and listen.. .

And even when the stories’ ended , and we’ve pretty much got the picture. It’s kickass that the friendship is still budding , the laughter’s still rolling and beauty trade-offs are secretly taking place through video-chats.  

So perhaps all that mess was for something after all. Lessons of love and life –check.

And without expecting it, the reaping of a pretty promising friendship (of pretty gorgeous people). 

I’m sorry I just had to add that.

And of course, if we want to make our first million anytime soon.

We probably could publish a best selling novel -turn movie- turn TV series.

A couple of weeks ago, after receiving one of those ‘highlight-of-the-day’ type mails from Female mag.

(mouths a huge ”Thank You’ to all involved!)

I decided to drag my sis-in-law with me for the fitting at bebe. While waiting, we browsed and poked and the outfits were all pretty snazzy. I’m loving this season’s colour palettes, fabric , cut and textures.

Through the racks, I caught a glimpse of an on-going interview with Razor TV and a fellow Gorgeouson (yes i coined the term) . Me to Sis-in-law : Wide-eyed horror! why is there an interviewww now! She blinks, I chew my fingers nervously.

Then came the fun part… The Fitting! Everything  on the rack looked…inviting.

And I absolutely loved what they picked!

But then came an issue!  They didn’t fit. I’m apparently too um..small.

AHHHHHH! Its such an odd problem. But its still a problem. Im lacking in, you know… significant parts.

So the professional stylists went into an organised  frenzy  in search of something that fits.

There was the Red Bling Toga which was still not fitting enough.

And after some skillful rack-searching. They found an olive-gold halter which fits!

And then came the battle of the dresses for the second outfit.

So I will be taking the #4 & #6 ensemble down the runway at Orchard Ion this Saturday 24 Oct 2009 ,2-5pm!

Can’t wait to catch up with the rest of the Gorgeousons and the crazy troops that will be coming to scream.

After feeling very un-endowed after the fitting , I had a mad-blastof an interview with the Razor TV host, who I reckon, should be in the Gorgeouson bunch himself.
