One of my closest friends just got engaged!

Her wedding will be in LA next fall.  Ster, the bride-to-be, me, Jules, Sayo and Ru (all nicknames) have been great friends since our freshman year in college, back when we thought we could get away with anything (good times indeed).  The most difficult thing is that they’re all in the US (Nyc, Chicago and LA) and I’m all the way here in Southeast Asia, but thank goodness for attractive int’l dialing rates and skype.

We try to meet up annually; the last reunion we had was at Jules’ wedding in Nyc earlier this year – memorable because it was her wedding, but also because it was blinking 20F (-6 C) out!  a couple pics of the happy occasion: jwedding34 wedding pics at Grand Central (note how warmly dressed everyone else was!)

Looking forward to seeing the girls on the west coast where there will be sunnier weather, definitely closer to the lovely tropical weather in sgp!

Thank you Female mag for this opportunity, and a big thanks to Madeline, Aileen, all the stylists, photographers and sponsors who made this happen!   Loved the street style shots this year, definitely a great way to amp up the shoot.

After wearing Bebe at the shoot, it was a pleasant surprise to read that the Kardashian sisters will be designing for Bebe next spring- who better than three gorg (and tabloid-magnet) sisters?

I used to find it amusing that Singapore’s McD’s automatically offered chili sauce instead of ketchup when I ordered fries (only in SG I believe?!?), but after living here for over two years (this time around, lived here when I was younger, but that’s another story for another time) I not only eat spicy food (well, still a weak sauce – gradually braving more chili with each meal), but I definitely also understand why the pastime here is eating with all the yummy delicacies on this island!  To prove my point:

laksa linguine?  sweeet.

you’re probably speculating whether I take my own pictures seeing that I’m evidently great at extracting pictures from other people’s sites, so to conclude my very first blog, one of my fav pics from one of my fav places on earth:
