Place Must Visit…

November 16th, 2009 by Juanni Sandjoto

I’ve just come back from Siam Reap (Cambodia) yesterday, and I would say this is one of the places that you need to go while you can.

It has this amazing ancient heritage and a lot of history behind it.

It was opened not too long ago for tourism, but they setup everything orderly, so you can get to the location of interest easily. Not only the people are extremely friendly, but also able to speak English. Almost all of the Hotels and restaurants provide Internet WiFi so you can still get connected ;)

I found everything is in reasonably priced. You can rent a taxi around USD50/day or Tuk-tuk around USD15/day and private tour guide for USD20/day. Where a day is a complete full day, literally, from sunrise to sunset.

Guess what? Also, you can get a glass of Angkor Beer for just 50 cent.

I managed to take some of the photos with Canon Camera that my sweet cousin lent me. Even though I just learnt photography couple weeks ago, hope you can still find them pleasant to see…

Food… Food… Food…

November 3rd, 2009 by Juanni Sandjoto

I love to go to places and always try to explore their specialty food. That’s also why I enjoy reading food section in the magazines, once in a while reading food review in the websites, and asking recommendation from people around.

For food, I like it spicy and rich in taste. Most people will find it’s shocking when I sometimes scoop a spoonful of chili sauce and mix it with my meal.

A little bit weird, but I don’t like sweet food. That’s why I never have any craving for desserts such as ice cream, cakes, and chocolates…

I really love home cook food. My mom is the best cook I’ve ever known. The taste just suite me well, maybe I’ve been eating her cooking since young. That’s why I missed her so much since I moved to Singapore three years back. I never failed to pack some food back to Singapore when I visit home.

Food presentations do affect me a lot, that explain why I don’t eat too exotic delicacy such as croc, snake, horse, dog meat…

I often take some pictures of my meals and drinks before I savor and guzzle them. Here some pictures that I took in the past couple of months.

If you do have some recommendation for food to try out, please let me know as we can definitely share some food experience someday.

Female Fashion Show

October 25th, 2009 by Juanni Sandjoto

Yesterday, I was having a great time at the Female Fashion Show which was held at ION Orchard.

Those, Bebe dresses, they are fabulous. I love them… They felt like a second skin, and ease me to move swiftly up at the stage.

Thank you also for the Anna Sui make-up crews who made me great. Besides, I also felt so glamorous, never before, getting so many camera shots and flashes highlighted me.

Although, there are many other gorgeous finalist that I met during this course, but at that instant, I felt like I was at the center of the attention. I would describe the event was like a flash fame that lasted for an hour.

At the backstage, I had some little talk with the contestants. They all are splendid, friendly, and seem nice. Well, frankly, I realized that I wasn’t the only one that felt nervous and excited. From all that, we were all having some fun.

With this little short blog, I am pasting two photos that were taken during the show yesterday.

A L’il about me

October 17th, 2009 by Juanni Sandjoto

Surprising enough, after many years people blog and now, finally it is my turn.Yes, it is indeed my first time blogging and i start feeling excited about it. Thank you Female for this fantastic opportunity.

I love to travel. Especially, ever since i moved to singapore (yeah, I was born in Indonesia). I have been traveling to many different countries in the past years. Beside traveling, I also love food. That’s cover ranges from ordinary and simple traditional food to gourmet meals. The combination of traveling and food tasting, obviously turning my traveling experience exorbitantly interesting. Needless to say, I also love to take some photos of those meals before I savor them.

That is pretty much all about me in a nutshell.
