HEYA folks…

Just taking some time off from my designing works on EGOTRIP…but anyways…

2 more days to the finals at ZOUK! woo-hoo

Currently, (aside from having my day job) i have been quite busy designing some of my tee-shirts for EGOTRIP. I came up with this idea of doing my own tee-shirts online (as you can see in the above picture, some of the designs) becases i guess, most of the time, when im out shopping for just staples, in this case tee-shirts,i cant seem to find the stuff that i want. It may be that color, but not in that design…or … in that design but not in that color.

SO, i figured, why not do it myself. EGOTRIP has taken off since mid this year. Just selling it to some of my friends and friend’s friend….you know the drill. starting up is kinda slow. Still on the look out for GOOD, reliable web designers for the website though. So if you know any, please do…hollar me up. hehe…

Im still workin on much MUCH more interesting designs.  well, at least trying to squeeze in time to juggle both my day job and this. hur-hur. But im not complaining! when there’s a will there WILL be a way!…

Last month, EGOTRIP had the golden ticket to showcase my designs on the stage for New Paper New Face 2009. That was the best feeling i tell you. Its like giving birth…well not literally cos i dont know about THAT feeling…hur hur.. To see my designs come to live. Well eventhough it was just for the NPNF’09 dancers, but hey, i’ll take any opportunity for EGOTRIP man, considering EGOTRIP to be just barely 6months old.

Things are looking good for EGOTRIP…and i hope it will soar high! in the coming future. If i continue to work hard on it. hur-hur-hur. For now the website is still not up yet, but keep your eyes peeled on www.egotrip.com.sg.

Oh well…just an insight of what im doing aside from work.

DONE with that…now looking forward to FEMALE 50 Gorgeous People Finals in 2 days time! Tickets are out! so come down and see all of us in person at ZOUK! WOOOT WOOT!!

HEYA everyone….

How was your weekend?

SO … this week, i kicked start my weekends watching Victor Victoria at the Esplanade hall. A couple of my friends were acting and dancing in the play. including Mr Daniel Boey…my big boss. hahaha….i must say i really LOVE the costumes, yeah “fashion” syndrome. but aside from that i figured the whole “complicated confusing” play was really awesome. and the songs…well, its still in my head after like a solid 3 days from the show day. hur hur.

Highlight of the night had to be that i meet Laura Fygi (the lead actress / well-known jazz singer) at the nearby pub where i was chilling with the rest of the casts having some drinks after a good day at work. And well, lets just say Miss Laura was singing on to the pub’s singer who’s jaming his set on stage and she came in and started to sing OVER him. poor fella! better luck next time i guess dude… =<

Have you guys tried the TWG tea place at ION? i dont really know what TWG stands for…but lemme tell you this, its so hard to get a place due to limited sitting spaces. and for some strange reason, when it gets all “english” people actually take their time to savour their teas and scones…and i REALLY do mean TAKE THEIR TIME !! -_-”

 I actually tried queing up for it twice and gave up because the wait was pretty long eventhough i was the 2nd one in line. Surprisingly this 3rd time, i got a table (like they say 3rd time’s a charm) and decided to taste whats this hype is all about.

They have like crazy numerous numbers of teas from all over the world. They even have like a 4 page menu just for teas. Frankly speaking, i dont know nuts about teas…so i just asked for their sweetest tea. A thought came to mind — If tea leaves are too fragrantly nice, lets infuse something like a tea eau de parfum! All the teas from around the world! (and make my first million hurhur, unless somebody actually think about it before…shucks)

Was pretty happy to know that they do serve creme brulee…just so you know, i am still in the look out for my quest to find the yummiest creme brulee!…since the last one i had was pretty sucky. THIS ONE! is yummie! THIS ONE…hits the spot! THIS ONE is orgasmically oiishii!…right down to the last cream…-slurps! If i could lick the whole bowl up, i would…but that wouldn’t be too english would it~ (act only -_-”) but it was really delicious! magnifico! go try it! TWG tea cafe at ION. (i suggest go on a weekday)

An article on yesterday’s Sunday NewPaper  got me reading  baout it. They did this story on “The Rise Of The Girly Men“. I thought that was interesting…Something about men wearing make up and how the number have rise 30% every year. well, i dont know about men wearing lipsticks and mascara though…>_< -cringe- Surprisingly, quote “Now the look that is popular on the streets is someone very lean, with features that are a bit feminine” in other words…in my term-pretty ANDRO boys.  But i must say, IT IS TRUE, these ANDROgynous looks are taking parts of the world by storm, (especially in the modelling world, Korea,Japan even Europe and NYC) and witnessing what i can see in Orchard Road, it will indreasingly become a common sight here in singapore. 

Is the andro look goin to be the look for 2009?? well, i dont know about that…but i gotta say it takes sheer confidence and a certain X-factor to carry it off and NOT everyone can do it..so KUDOS and i take my hats off to these guys..MAN!

how’s the weekends goin?

Yesterday, a couple of friends including myself went out lookin for cars. well, one of us was going to get a brand NEW car after getting his driving license last few weeks. (hurhur -_-”)

With no car brands in mind, we decided to just whizz through Leng Kee Road and just make a pit stop in the car show rooms. yes! including SUBARU!

In the first place, i didnt know SUBARU’s showroom was in Leng Kee, well, i didnt know alot of other car showrooms  were there too. (hur hur -suaku-) When we get in, it was such a surprise! My first (and maybe ONLY) Car showroom experience where the sales-persons were in PYJAMAS! like “really” REAL pyjamas, those type you’d wear to sleep! So SUBARU if you have that ingenious idea of doing something different and catching the attenion of the buyers, YOU GOT MINE SPOT ON!

Now i know my friend, he is like me! His car MUST reflect him. And how do you do that? well, for us, the COLOR for the car plays an important part in picking the ‘right’ car…aside from the engine and all the other stuff. There is no point “acting” like i know everything about the engine and other mechanics…cos honestly, i dont have a clue! So in that section, i will leave it to another friend of ours.

Singaporean nowadays, in general are much more daring in their car colors. I guess, we see cars not only as a mode of easy-transportation but also as a LIFESTYLE. There’s a rising percentages of us out there that owns cars that are not the usual, black, white, dark blue etc. Now, different colors reflect different lifestyles and individuality. i was checkin out and was in love with the 2010 SUBARU Legacy, especially in Galaxy Blue Silica & Dark Amethyst Silica.

well i thought the day was pretty well spent for him. Got a couple of car informations, phamplets, tried out some…hopefully, he settle for his NEW car soon! (p/s — i’ll   psycho him to get a SUBARU. hur-hur-hur *winx*)

TGIF…once again. a few more hours before the weekends start again!

This week, X’mas came early in the form of ROBINSONS (instore) X’mas shows, for the robinsons card members. It is annual affair every end of the year…The DB gang was getting festive ,styling and doing this whole show. It really felt like it IS x’mas with all the X’mas songs on repeat mode lingering from the store’s sound system, while workin. So, needless to say, everyone was in a good festive mood even in the midst of all the chaos.

HAIZ…i just wished it would snow in singapore. Imagine walkin down Orchard Road in the snow in your winter wear, shopping. How cool is that? just like New York … God! i miss that place =<

If you think that Robinsons only offer apparels for “old” aunties and uncles, think again. It is cool to shop in a departmental store! Especially when the merchandise has an uplift, new, younger appeal. Go check it out and you will be surprise what you can find there. P/S robinsons offers great x’mas gift packages all nicely wrapped at affordable prices for your last minute x’mas gifts. (the magic word is–AFFORDABLE PRICES!)

Anw i manage to slot in time to rush for the FEMALE 50 GP FINALS fitting at TED BAKER vivocity this week. -excited- Same thing, 2 outfits for the show this comin thursday (can you believe it) As always, LOVE the outfit…Jumius Wong! kudos to you and your team! thank you…thank you!! As for the outfits, must be a surprise laa…hehe

As the year is comin to an end, i have to stock up on my CANON Selphy photo printer papers and ink catridges. Im expecting alot of house parties and of course Xmas and NEW YEAR’S party!

If you guys know me, you know that there wont be a “noah” party without MY CANON Selphy printer. Got it as a gift from dad last year, and it has been a staple for my parties without fail! It prints directly from the digital camera, memory card, computer or even (get this) wireless!

This machine is not for the faint-”photoshop“-hearted! hahaha so if you wanna really see how your friends look like (if they always photoshop their faces -_-”) on camera, get this!! and then…when they leave the party, give these beautiful memories as a door-gift to your guests. So they know they attended your kick-a$@ party (oops)

However this year, i have decided to add on a high-def camcorder to capture all these madness. Went down to the CANON shop at vivocity to check out some CANONs. The VIXIA HF10 caught my eyes because it captures twice as much video using less storage, which enhances the extended recording time possible! That is freakin dope…because you never know when you’ll get to sneak on ya friends for those unglam shots! he-he-he….”friends be VERYYY afraid”

Can i have one of this please Mr. CANON??….pretty please…^_^ hehe

…guess what ironically im not the only one who’s nuts about this CANON Selphy, look what i found hidden behind TIMBERLAND’s shop counter at Raffles City. hur-hur. SEE! it is instant and at this day and age, where everything has to be in that minuscule minute, gone were the days where you have to wait for your pictures for at least a day and get it at your own photo shop.

SO…want more HAPPENING party! get the CANON Selphy printer!!!

SO…how was your weekend??

Brunch at colbar, PORTSDOWN is the number 1 place where you can find me during the weekends. They have nice food, with “kampong” atmosphere…at a very high price. BUT i dont mind, it’s an escape to nostaligic old times when i stayed with my late grams at a kampong…ermm, except this kampong has alot of (angmos) expats on the weekends. -_-”  I have been there too much that even the aunty knows what i will eat and drink without me even having to repeat myself . hur-hur! Prawn Fritters and omlette!!! yums-yumss….-slurp-

As i promised, i wanted to squeeze in PARANORMAL ACTIVITIES into my weekend…and so i did! lemme just say–i want my 2hours of my life back...-_-” i guess watching too much Ghost Hunters International prepared me for the “expected” hauntings in the movie. i was expecting something more…MOREE!!! prolly make me pee in my pants…but sadly i didnt leak or even felt like it. -sigh- can i have $7.50 back puhleese…hurhur…

 

I guess you heard about the WE ARE ONE project? I have always like the idea of helping the ones who are in need of much more financial or whatever HELP that i can always provide. Helping others who are less fortunate than you are. Its my way of giving back to the community for what they have given me. you know..like a full-circle moment. Cannot be selfish horh, KARMA lei -hurhur-… Whoever came up with this LEGO bricks idea is “da’bomb” man…I LOIKEE IT! 2bucks may not be alot to you but it IS alot to others. Maybe, you might wanna take a step back and think about other unfortunate singaporeans for just a little while. Even if it’s 2bucks! You’re helping your fellow people la!

Aside from that, you can relive back your childhood and play LEGO! so just let your inner-child take oer and donate more …so you can play MORE lego! hahaha… i got mine done at ION! Apparently they have alot of other places around the island, so there is no excuses for you NOT to donate! …and help lay the foundation of Singapore! ^_^

NOW, this has to be the most exciting part of my weekend! i dropped by TIMBERLAND and played around with some cool leathers. Customized my own boat shoe (loafers). I heard about all its hype from friends and colleagues and i figured that i just HAD to get a pair my own. (FYI-if you dont know by now, im a SHOE-holic) It will take approximately 3 weeks or so for the design to come to life all the way from the Dominican Republic! WOO-HOO! just in time for X’MAS dinners and X’MAS itself! I think there was way too much colors in my shoe that the sales assistant had to ask me 3x whether i was ‘real’ about my designs… HAHAHA -culture shock- My own x’mas gift for myself for being a very good boy this whole year! Im expecting a big-fat parcel to arrive soon! soon…cant wait!!

Alrighty folks…i think heard the doorbell ringing! it must be the pizza-man! (better be!) i am famish!! gahh!!! well, that was a great weekend before the week starts to get crazy again! i hope you guys had a blast weekend and did not catch the monday blues!

Earlier this week (after workin hours), i was just walkin around Takashimaya looking for a decent, nice, formal outfit for a friend’s wedding that’s comming up this december. I was just about to “give up” my search and adjourned the search to some other days…untill…i figured i’d drop by TED BAKER, which was just around the corner.

I totally dig the blazer that i wore, and this cardigan that 1 of the other 50GP contestant was wearing on the preview day at ION. BUT! if you’re wondering if that were the things that i bought….hur hur hur…think again. something more “BOOMZ!…something that screams MEEEEE”

Made me wonder (at the counter) WHO IS TED BAKER??

So i did a search on em and found out interesting facts about him.

Initially, TED BAKER exclusively offered men’s dress shirt, and offered dry cleaning with every shirt they sold. He had limited funding available, so rather than advertising, he relied on word of mouth and the creation of a personality to anchor the brand. (something that i’m currently struggling to do with my own EGOTRIP)

Not only do TED BAKER sell some of the nicest men’s shirt (that i bought for the wedding -hint-hint-) for every occasion, on the market, their jeans are also top quality and their shorts which can be identified  by the little orange lobster on them.  

From applique, argyle, corduroy, organic cotton, velvet, linen jersey….even sustainable and renewable souces like bamboo…you name your fabric and you can find it!

It may be a little heavy on your wallet but most of my friends who own their garments, seems to say that they do last well!. i hope mine does too!

As for the wedding ‘guest’ outfit…it has to be a SURPRISE laaa! ha-ha-ha gotcha…!

HEYA folks…

phew how’s everone doin?! anyway….TGIF! today has to be the most earliest reporting time for work / show ever! 6am!! The roads of Orchard road were still paved with darkness with no sunlight!! (ggaahhh!!!)

This whole week the DB gang has their hands full on Orchard Central. If you don’t know about the whole APEC thing that is happening around town nowadays, where have you been man?!

So in conjunction with APEC summit meetings here, Orchard Central organised an APEC spouse programme (fashion) show for the ministers’ wives etc. “Nothing too fashion & Nothing too seXXXy”–that was the brief. I was hoping to get to meet Michelle Obama…but -shrugs- that didnt happen =<.

Call it a “breakfast” show cos it was held at 9 freakin AM!! -_-” In other words, when the ministers etc are attending meetings to “save the world” their wives are indulging in fashion show, shopping and an escape to nirvana pampering day! hur hur hur. Not bad uh!

…and then the rain poured like madsss. good thing that the show was over and it went well and MOST importantly the client was very happy with the whole outcome!

ANYWAY! it’s a few more days to the FEMALE 50 GP finals at ZOUK! but for now, ITS THE WEEKEND AGAIN TOMORROW!!! -woot-woot- i’m gonna include paranormal activites (the movie) in my weekend agenda.

Getting a birthday present for a 2 year old kid in TOYS’R'US is no joke man, especially for lil’ Cayden who knows his cars very VERY well. im serious, he recognizes people by the cars they drive. How dope is that!! Oh well, hopefully you’ll like Thomas The Tank Engine we bought for you. haha (you’re too young to own a speed monster)..HAPPY BIRTHDAY baby boy!
