Boo-Yah WEEKEND!!November 9th, 2009 by Noah Wahid |
HEYA folks,
how was the weekend? Hopefully all the dull wet weather didnt affect your plans and have you side-tracked to staying at home instead of goin out.
Started out the weekend watching the TANGO PROJECT dance ensemble at Republic Poly (on friday). A real good friend of mine was performing for it and i decided to go catch it.
I have always like anything to do with the arts scene, local or abroad. Been involve in arts eversince i was born i guess, it has always been about performing arts for me. Eventhough my 1st LOVE is fashion, but i still do like performing. Back from my very 1st showcase in primary school (dancing to the crocodile rock & roll) to SAF MDC (Music and Drama company) in my army days to the recent Singapore Idol ‘09 (top 50 only and then …-kuhpoot- got eliminated =<) you can call me Artsy-Fartsy! heh… I must say everytime i watch plays or dance performances, there’s a certain adrenalin that i just wanna go out there and do it all over again. I guess, it makes me feel ALIVE. hur-hur- i know cliche -_-” but seriously, i think it varies from person to person, as for me, its the performing arts.
BODY WORLDS is in town till 6th March 2010, pretty excited to go explore it. Ermmm…truth is, im just very excited to go back to Singapore Science Centre cos i havent been there for like donkey years and go for ALL the rides…i really do mean ALL!! Go catch it (i would suggest on a weekday) and relive back your childhood memories…aside from the fact that you really learn alot about human (and animals..in eg-horse / giraffe) bodies that you took for granted. MAN! its amazing! frankly, i was hoping for the bodies to come to live and grab someone like some AXN Scare Tactics episode! that would be dope!
Dinner time and i had this HUGE craving for creme brulee for dessert (and it MUST be creme brulee and nothing else!)… and you know one of those times when you dont need or want something, there it is, all around you but when the time comes for you to really yearn for it, it’s like mysteriously gone, no where to be found. I had to do a search on my blackberry for a decent / nearby place for it (waiting for suggestions from friends on TWITTER can be a very loong wait) can you believe it!..i was avoiding town cos traffic can be pretty bad on weekends especially with this whole APEC thing goin on. So whiz the “lil mean speed machine” up to Labrador Park, OLIVE. Outdoor dining with nature. Mozzies not included. 1 thing i will say–i ain’t goin back there ever again man, not even for dinner or the creme brulee!
Met up with good old friends at HARRY’s bar (village centre) for some drinks till late LATE NIGHT!! Havent seen these guys for ages. It’s been a really looong while, since the four of us come here to just catch up and dish out stuffs thats happening in our lives. Its hard having friends who’s involve in the media “circus frenzy” cos they have very unflexible working hours, well, i can say the same goes for fashion.

Desmond’s busy juggling work on his new drama serial, (right after, Little Notes, a movie with Royston Tan) and exams in school.
Nic’s been workin perfectionally on his 3rd album with his band (MiLuBing/superband), which is launching TODAY! self-titled–Set Meal For 3. Go get it if you’re a BIG fan.
Nat’s just busy being popular and stalked, after his POLO BOYS show. haha NO but seriously, he’s been workin his ‘rear-behind’ off with new dramas and promos.
Good on you guys’
as for me…im busy with CRAZY crazy days these comin weeks and just busy going through this MAD journey in FEMALE 50GP! hur-hur-hur woohoo!!
Alrighty!!…im outta here folks. have a blast of a week till the weekends again. Avoid roads to Marina Centre unless you wanna get stuck and detour for the APEC meetings. =p hur-hur
