Over 900 readers, supporters, advertisers and sponsors joined us at Female's 50 Gorgeous People Grand Finals on Dec 7 at The Arena, Clarke Quay - the culmination of our annual search for Female's Most Gorgeous Male and Female in Singapore.

Among the crowd were celebrity guests, lucky Female readers who'd won invites to the event, and CapitaCard members who had priority entry in a special CapitaCard Queue. Readers and cardmembers also went home with a Gorgeous People Gift Pack each.

As guests chilled out with their drinks and sweet treats from Haagen-Dazs, they were given an inside glimpse of the Gorgeous finalists' journey to the top. On screens around the club, a video looked back at the exciting Street Hunts, the glamorous photo shoot, and the highly-anticipated Fashion Preview. Guests also witnessed the hard work that all the contestants put into the event, with numerous fittings and late-night rehearsals in preparation for the Grand Finals.

There was practically no standing room left in The Arena as the crowd thronged the club as the show started and the 50 Gorgeous People finalists took to the stage. Confident and obviously having fun, the contestants wowed the crowd with a fashion showcase of Spring/Summer 2007 collection from Bebe, Ted Baker, Aldo, and Risis, while toting some of the latest cameras from Canon. Experts from Bobbi Brown and Sebastian Professional kept our finalists looking radiantly gorgeous throughout the night.

After the contestants strutted their stuff, the long-awaited results of the Top 10 Gorgeous People were announced. These finalists were selected after receiving the highest number of votes from readers. The real fun began when the Top 10 were put in the hot seat by hosts Jamie Yeo and Max Loong.

The 10 finalists had to think on their feet and or be nimble on their toes, as they were challenged with everything from using their best pick up line to get a gal in the audience to dance, to sashaying down the runway and striking a pose that would make Tyra Banks proud.

They were rated by a panel of judges based on their personality, poise and 'G' Factor ('G' standing for 'Gorgeous', of course!), and the Most Gorgeous Male and Female were finally selected.

Blackout @ Emily Hill on 31 October 2007 was a fund-raising event held to achieve target of S$10,000 so as to help light up lives of inmates from the Kaki Bukit Centre with this funding going towards the ISCOS follow-up efforts for the A3Mind-Body Programme. The event was a great success, thanks to friends who contributed time, effort, talent, connections, support (in more ways than one), cash and kind. FEMALE 50 Gorgeous People 2007 were also there to lend their support to light up the event!

Blackout raised a total of $7,636 in contributions (including 50% of bar sales from Wild Oats, and we hear more friends are sending in cheques) and ISCOS Ltd has pledged to top-up the difference to the fund raiser's intended target of $10,000 so Kaki Bukit Centre inmates can benefit from life-transforming intervention programmes to help them break out of their vicious life cycle to successfully reintegrate into society.

Over 200 invited guests and numerous shoppers packed the central court of Vivocity on Oct 16, 2007 to catch the exclusive "live" appearance of our Female 50 Gorgeous People at The Fashion Preview.

For the first time, readers got to see all our 50 gorgeous finalists in the flesh at The Fashion Preview. All guests were pampered with smooth and creamy Haagen-Dazs ice cream, while some got up close and personal with the Subaru Impreza SG-T on display. This hatchback version of the Subaru stalwart was a hit with motoring aficionados during the pre-show mingling session.

Our gorgeous hosts for the evening, Max Loong and Jamie Yeo, hosted the fabulous fashion showcase. All the finalists took to the runway decked out in the latest Bebe and Ted Baker apparel, fancy Aldo footwear, and exquisite Risis jewellery, while armed with Canon IXUS cameras. Bobbi Brown and Sebastian Professional also lent their expertise to complete our finalists' stunning looks with great makeup and hair.
